CBD showing great results!

A study from the European Journal of Pain showed, using an animal model, CBD applied on the skin could help lower pain and inflammation due to arthritis. Another study demonstrated the mechanism by which CBD inhibits inflammatory and neuropathic pain, two of the most difficult types of chronic pain to treat.

1. Neuropathic pain

Neuropathic pain is pain caused by damage to the nerves. This type of pain is common in diseases such as multiple sclerosis, injuries such as herniated discs, and infections such as shingles.

A 2017 review found that CBD helped with chronic neuropathy pain in humans. The researchers looked at 11 randomized controlled trials with 1,219 patients.

2. Multiple sclerosis

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune condition that affects the entire body through the nerves and brain.

One report found that short-term use of CBD oil could reduce the levels of muscle spasms a person feels. The results are modest, but many people reported a reduction in symptoms

3. Arthritis and other Chronic pain

The same report studied CBD use for general chronic pain. Researchers compiled the results of multiple systematic reviews covering dozens of trials and studies. Their research concluded that there is substantial evidence that cannabis is an effective treatment for chronic pain in adults.

A separate study in the Journal of Experimental Medicine supports these results. This research suggests that using CBD can reduce pain and inflammation.

The researchers also found that subjects were not likely to build up a tolerance to the effects of CBD, so they would not need to increase their dose over time.

They noted that cannabinoids, such as CBD, could offer helpful new treatments for people with chronic pain.

Some studies in animals suggest that CBD could help treat arthritis and relieve the associated inflammatory pain. For example:
  • A 2017 study found that CBD might be a safe and useful treatment option for joint pain associated with osteoarthritis.
  • A 2016 study found that the topical application of CBD had the potential to relieve pain and inflammation associated with arthritis.
  • A 2014 review of the existing body of research on animals concluded that CBD may be an effective treatment for osteoarthritis.
  • A 2011 study found that CBD helped reduce inflammatory pain in rats by affecting the way that pain receptors respond to stimuli.

4. Osteoporosis pain

Osteoporosis is a bone disease that occurs when the body loses too much bone, makes too little bone, or both. As a result, bones become weak and may break from a fall or, in serious cases, from sneezing or minor bumps.

The central nervous system plays an important role in regulating bone metabolism. The density of your bones, to a large degree, is dependent on the balance of the activity of two types of cells. Osteoblasts, which are involved in producing bone, and Osteoclasts, which are the cells that degrade bone.

The benefits of CBD for osteoporosis may include:

  • May improve the density of bones
  • Alleviates pain & inflammation
  • Supports hormone balance
  • Relieves pain from bone fractures

The cannabinoid receptor CB2 receptor, for instance, appears to be a promising therapeutic target for osteoporosis. Scientific research has shown increasing the expression CB2 inhibits activity of the cells that break down bone. As a result, drugs that enhance the activity of this receptor have been shown in pre-clinical trials to reverse bone loss that occurs in post-menopausal osteoporosis. There are many promising results for CBD as a natural remedy for pain associated with Osteoporosis
